Kirk Cameron feels disadvantaged against Stephen Hawking
“Like bullying a blind man”: That was what former sitcom actor and adamant Christian activist Kirk Cameron complained it was like to say anything negative about Stephen Hawking. “He has an unfair disadvantage, and that gives him a free pass on some of his absurd ideas.” It’s a crass and lowly insult to Hawking to suggest that he’s the benefit of an “unfair disadvantage,” which clearly refers to his ALS. Especially because it implies that he’s the beneficiary of some sort of sympathy within the scientific community, as opposed what his is; the owner of a magnificent mind that’s he’s used to bettering humankind. Whatever you might say about Growing Pains, we reckon that contribution doesn’t measure up. source

At first I read this as Kirk Cameron as the “blind man” being bullied because he knows absolutely nothing about what Stephen Hawking is talking about and never will be able to understand it because Stephen Hawking is far superior to him and his intellect knows no bounds but then I realized that no, in fact Kirk Cameron was taking a cheap shot at Hawking’s ALS.
Wow. What a big person you are Kirk Cameron.
Hawking probably doesn’t give a shit though. I mean, this is coming from someone who spends his time making homoerotic videos about the banana and how it proves God’s existence meanwhile Stephen Hawking is busy being a BAMF at cosmology and theoretical physics.

I don’t know what to say about this that isn’t already obvious to a halfway reasonable person.  The fact that Stephen Hawking has ALS has no bearing on whether or not he thinks gods exist.  His disease does not give him a “free pass.”  If Kirk Cameron or Ray Comfort had ALS I wouldn’t pull any punches in a theological debate with them.
